MSG JOHN N. DAVIS

MSG Davis entered the United States Army in August of 1994, attending Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and then AIT at Fort Gordon, Georgia, graduating as a Radio Operator. MSG Davis was then assigned to 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and served as a long range marksman for Special Operations Team Alpha. In February of 2000, MSG Davis attended AIT at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri graduating as a Military Policeman. Throughout his military career, MSG Davis has served in a variety of duty positions including Gunner, Driver, Section Sergeant, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant, and currently Provost Marshal NCOIC.

MSG Davisís assignments include Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Hood, Texas (2 assignments); Vicenza, Italy, and now Livorno, Italy. His deployments include Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. MSG Davis has served in four combat tours and is a combat veteran of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

MSG Davisís civilian and military education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, the Advanced Leaders Course (Commandantís List), Senior Leaders Course (Commandantís List), Airborne School, Air Assault School, Sniper School, Advanced Morse Code School, Anti-Terrorism Level II Course, Combat Lifesavers Course, Field Sanitation Course, and NBC School. MSG Davis has earned a Degree in General Studies with Central Texas College and is currently working on a degree in Liberal Arts with Excelsior College.

MSG Davisís awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), Meritorious Service Medal (1 oak leaf cluster), the Army Commendation Medal with Valor, the Army Commendation Medal (4 oak leaf clusters), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal ((2 oak leaf clusters), the Army Good Conduct Medal (5th award), the National Defense Service Medal (bronze star), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (bronze star), the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (campaign star), the Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 campaign stars), the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (numeric 3), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (numeric 5), the NATO Medal, the Valorous Unit Award (1 oak leaf cluster), the Meritorious Unit Commendation (1 oak leaf cluster), the Parachutist Badge, the United Arab of Emerites Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, and the Combat Action Badge. MSG Davis has also been inducted into both the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and the Sergeant Morales Club.
